January 2019 I started a new routine by making at least one collage between 8 and 9 o’clock in the morning of every work day. My tools were scissors, pinking shears and hole punchers. The materials were coloured paper and glue. This simple activity has meditative qualities and the feeling of already having done my first work at 9 in the morning was very satisfying. After about half a year I switched my morning collage for a morning walk that gives me a similar piece of mind. Now, 4 years later, I still look back with joy at this huge pile of collages. Some of them have already made it into my kites and other projects. Some will probably influence future work to come. I am happy to share my favorite collages in this booklet.
